CMDC is dedicated to recognizing its footprint within the performing arts community. With gaining clarity of vision and planning, the rebirth of my longstanding dream is on the verge of being a reality. To that end, I am in need of help and ask for your individual financial support to sustain CMDC’s operation and development. I am building on my work as a choreographer, educator, and performer of over three decades. From travel between five continents and the discovery of cultural riches across the globe, my commitment and passion for dance has not wavered. In fact, I have not only fed my thirst as an artist, but also developed a vocabulary of movement that is strong and overflowing. My choreography weaves together my knowledge and life experiences in what I have passionately created into an original “world jazz” style. CMDC garnered energetic standing ovations at the NY City Parks Foundation’s SummerStage, where we showcased the company’s versatile repertoire in 2009 (see images below). Audience response echoed testimonies from celebrated artists such as Roberta Flack, Judith Jamison, Al Jarreau, Cissy Houston, as well as Rev. Jessie L. Jackson, Sr., who have firsthand experienced my work. As a visionary, I am enthusiastic to share my artistry to further nurture and entertain audience members and dancers alike. NYC SummerStage 2011 performances are at Central Park’s Mainstage on July 30 and Marcus Garvey Park on August 13. Friend of CMDC, your support is needed, right now!
